Personal Description:

Currently, a student at the University of Alberta in their Faculty of Education's Second Year Majoring in Math working towards a Bachelors of Education (Secondary) Degree to one day teach High School - University Level Math. Passionate in the way students are taught and learn how to effectively use math in an increasingly more complicated world. Enthusiastic and loving, hopeful and kind, and will bring out the best in your students.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored privately for more than 7 years and taught in a group (classroom-like) setting for more than a year now, students have gone from failing to passing over the course of weeks working together. I tutor Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre Calculus, Calculus I, II, III and some of IV, Geometry, Differential Equations and more.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a good work ethic based on a foundation of the kind of problem-solving skills you gain from elementary to complex math not only teaches one individual that there is more than one way to come to a correct answer but also teaches that same individual never to give up and to try new things regardless of how many times they need to start again. Math also teaches us that after coming to the right answer there will be things or events that confirm our work, given that nearly all math can be cross-checked to prove itself right, during the time we meet, the student and I will spend time focused on particular subject matter pertaining to their assignments or question's on topics in general, we will typically do several examples in a session
