Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am passionate about helping students succeed. I am a university student at the University of Western Ontario for Health Science and I am entering my second year in the fall. I understand that this global pandemic can be a very stressful time. I would like to help in any way I can to ensure that students are doing their best work, even though this is a tough time. Feel free to reach out, I'd love to help students succeed via zoom or any other communication method online.

Tutoring Experience:

I have done very well in high school Sciences, Maths, English, and Spanish and graduated on the honour roll. I am available to tutor most high school subjects as well as elementary school subjects. I have a lot of experience with children and know how they think in terms of school material. I am very good at determining what they know and where to go from there. I'd love to help in any way I can!

Tutoring Approach:

I typically will determine what the student already knows and what more they need to learn in order to succeed. From there, I explain in detail while answering questions along the way. In terms of homework questions, I ensure that the student attempts it by themselves at first, and then I jump in and see how they can improve or what they are struggling with. My goal is to help students understand the big picture before zooming in on the details. This makes it a lot easier to understand the content.
