Personal Description:

I have a Masters Degree in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University U.K. and have worked in hi-tech industries for the last 34 years, including semiconductor manufacturing, electron beam imaging and optical **Contact Detail Removed**communications. I therefore have not only the academic training, but also can bring real-world examples into my tutoring classes.

Tutoring Experience:

My positions in industry have required me to train and tutor junior members of staff in various maths and science principles.
I have experience tutoring a number of G9/G10/G11/G12 students in Maths, Physics & Chemistry

Tutoring Approach:

I find that practical examples & repetition help the student solidify their understanding of concepts. However, it's important to adapt to the student's style of learning too. Where possible I like the student to learn from first principles so that there is a solid foundation to build on. Some students like this approach, while others prefer to simply master the mechanics of solving the problem (a much more applied approach)
