Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Pauline, and I've been teaching in elementary schools for about 6 years. People that know me describe me as outgoing, positive, and super energetic!

Tutoring Experience:

Before I got into teaching, I taught at Kumon Tutoring, as well as Oxford. I have worked at various camps throughout summer and have also facilitated a kids cooking class! After teachers college, I also went to Kenya to teach and build schools for a month. I then came back, and began teaching at the school board - I've taught all grades, but have been the homeroom teacher for Grade 4, Grade 6, and Grade 8.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to show students that there are various ways to learn concepts, and there are many ways to showcase learning. I want to build students' confidence in subjects they may not enjoy, or think they are not good at, and then run with it! The way I learn is very visual, and with repetition, and I like taking that approach with students' as well, making the connections to real life, so that the subjects matter.
