Information About Parth

Toronto tutor

Personal Description:

Hello, I'm Parth , a recent Engineering Science graduate from the University of Toronto. With experience as a research assistant in surgical training, AI research, and advanced coating technologies, I have a passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals.

Tutoring Experience:

I have personally tutored underprivileged and immigrant kids in my high school for six months by staying after school. During that time, I worked with 15-20 students to help them improve their academic performance and gain a better understanding of the material.

I am also currently a mentor at NSight, a tutoring service for University of Toronto students. As a mentor, I teach a wide range of subjects to first and second year students, helping them to succeed in their studies and achieve their academic goals.

Tutoring Approach:

When I tutor, I like to approach the material in a way that is tailored to each student's individual needs. For the underprivileged and immigrant kids I tutored in high school, I made sure to take the time to understand their unique challenges and backgrounds. This allowed me to create a learning environment that was both supportive and challenging, where they could feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

At NSight, where I mentor University of Toronto students in first and second year subjects, I take a similar approach. I always start by assessing each student's strengths and weaknesses, so I can create a personalized study plan that builds on their existing knowledge and addresses any gaps.

In my tutoring sessions, I try to create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere that encourages active participation and discussion. I find that when students feel comfortable and supported, they are more likely to engage with the material and ask questions. I also try to make the learning experience enjoyable, incorporating games and other interactive activities whenever possible.

Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students not only understand the material, but also develop a love of learning and the confidence to tackle challenging topics on their own.
