Personal Description:

I am a French native and I have been teaching French for a long time. I am currently studying at the University of Montreal in order to achieve the Baccalauréat of French as a second language. I am also providing private and collective classes of French in different settings. Before that I graduated in Law at the University of La Sorbonne in Paris, France and I then worked as a lawyer in France and in the United States. After tutoring my own children and especially teaching French from the basics to my son who was in an English speaking school, I decided to use the skills acquired through this experience to help others learn French. I have been giving both private and collective French classes since October 2014 and love it so much that I decided to go back to the university in order to obtain the baccalaureate of teaching French as a second language.

Tutoring Experience:

Before getting married, I did tutoring for 12 years a couple of evenings a week. I then helped my seven children through their school years. I have especially been providing French teaching for my son who was in an English speaking school for 5 years.

I began teaching French as a second language to other adults and children in October 2014.

Tutoring Approach:

I adjust to the needs of each of my students easily. As a mother of seven very different children, I had to use different ways and methods to help them be successful. It is the same with the other children and adults that I tutor and teach. Meeting the needs of each individual is a great challenge for me. Everyone comes with a different oral and written background in French and it is fascinating to help each student improve, become more confident and succeed.
