Personal Description:

I am a lawyer and a college professor who lives and works in the downtown Toronto area. I enjoy teaching and don't consider it to be work because I find it to be fun and rewarding.

I like to stay fit by playing tennis, cycling and hiking. I am an amatuer photographer and historian. I also like to read books, especially biographies and history.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 7 years of experience teaching a variety of business and law courses at Humber College and George Brown College (both undergraduate and graduate programs). I have a 4.7 out of 5 rating and 100% of students said they would take a course with me again (on ratemyprofessors website as of April 2018). I also have more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer (in private practice, as a prosecutor, as a policy advisor to the Ontario government and as in-house counsel for a private corporation).

I have earned 3 degrees (listed below):

Master of Laws (LL.M) from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto

Juris Doctor (JD) from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto

Bachelor of Arts in English from York University, Toronto

Bachelor of Education (incomplete - decided to go to law school instead)

Tutoring Approach:

My overall teaching style is relaxed. My goal is to demystify the subject and make it less intimidating and more approachable.

I tailor my approach based on each student's individual needs and ability to grasp and absorb the material. I use many examples from real life cases to illustrate each concept and principle. I progress at the speed best suited to each student. I am very patient and non-judgmental.

I teach on a part-time basis because I love teaching any student who is interested in learning. If you are interested in the law, I can help you.
