Personal Description:

Experienced tutor with 8+ years of teaching and tutoring experience. Obtained a MSc in Health Sciences and a BSc in Biology from University of Waterloo. Privately tutored 55 students from elementary to high school in the subjects math, science, French, biology, and chemistry.

Tutoring Experience:

During my undergrad, I tutored students in advanced functions, biology, french and chemistry. As well as in grade 11 and 12, I provided math tutoring to local students at my school, as well as grade 6-8 students in the nearby elementary school.

Tutoring Approach:

From my teaching experience, everyone learns differently. My tutoring method is tailored to each student as I aim to recognize their individual strengths and weaknesses in regards to learning. My personal philosophy is to engage students in active learning rather than passive learning, which will help them retain concepts long-term. I also help students develop new studying techniques that will prepare them to become independent learners in the future.
