Personal Description:

I have completed my masters in Occupational Therapy and a BSc in Health and Diseases. I have a huge passion for science and psychology and would love to help you if this is an area you find challenging. My specialities are psychology, anatomy, physiology and basic high school biology. I can offer in person and skype tutoring if need be!

Tutoring Experience:

My master's in Occupational Therapy has allowed me to assess how to best adapt my teaching style to the individual I am working with.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to have the student first discuss with me their challenges and to show me their current material. Once I have looked it over I begin by having the student first attempt the work. Assessing this allows me to further identify which areas require work. From there, I begin by using visual and verbal explanations to break down the information. I then give example questions based on what was covered to assess whether understanding has been achieved. If I feel the student is still having difficulty I make to supply them with extra resources to further this comprehension. I have a very patient and calm demeanour, I understand the importance of adapting my speed of teaching to the student's abilities.
