Personal Description:

I am a second year Master of Applied Science Student at Saint Mary's University who is enthusiastic about tutoring. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing poems and playing games such as scrabble and sudoku. I thoroughly enjoy helping students grasp concepts and improve on their problem solving skills.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a tutor for fours years now; tutoring biology, chemistry and math. I tutor both first year and upper year university students, employing both online and in-person tutoring methods.

Tutoring Approach:

I think it is of vital importance that students are able to answer questions independently after the session is complete: I achieve this by building up the student's, knowledge and confidence, as well as improving on their problem solving and critical thinking skills. Guiding students to answering a question or understanding a concept is the most effective way to ensuring they are able to independently tackle questions on an exam.
