Personal Description:

I am a Chinese who spent half of my life living in Canada and half of it living in China.I am fluent in both Mandarin and English. I really enjoy reading in Mandarin but not so much in English. I am interested in many areas, philosophy/business/politic/economic/gaming/technology/martial art/etc.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring since 5 years ago when I started my university. What I did was teaching my classmates or friends on the course I took. Because I have at least A- for most of my major courses, therefore, I can usually to others all the business classes. In addition to this, my last job constantly have international students come in for their internship. I was required to teach them about how the business work around the place and different procedures to handle different situations.

Tutoring Approach:

For Chinese, or for any language, I believe the best way to learn is not to focus entirely on the grammar. Talking is the best way to understand a language and reading is the second best way. Therefore, I wish to tutor by having conversation with the student when situation permits, and making suggested reading to them as the homework and the basis of next class. If needed, I can also teach student how to express their thoughts in Chinese.
