Personal Description:

With a broad background in the physical sciences and math, I am fully equipped to provide academic assistance as a physics tutor. I am able to help students with preparation for standardized tests, physics coursework, and I can even help with math subjects such as calculus and algebra which are useful for physics. Whether you need help with college-level physics or your AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism course, I can meet these needs in our tutoring sessions.

Tutoring Experience:

I completed my undergrad, then I obtained a bachelor's degree in Geology. I then went on to pursue graduate studies and I obtained a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences. I have been teaching at the undergraduate and gradua**Contact Detail Removed**vels for over 10 years and have previously been the recipient of a teaching award. Over and above my formal teaching experience I have also worked with students individually, assisting them with their advanced coursework as well as strengthening their math and science fundamentals to prepare for their Ph.D. qualifying exams.

Tutoring Approach:

I think communication with the student is important to establish what their challenges are, what areas need work, as well as what their goals are, and how we plan on getting them there. I also try to link the content we are covering to their interests.
