Hi, I'm a recent graduate of the University of Houston where I was an honor student for my 4 years I attended. I studied Kinesiology as well as public health and nutrition. I am currently training in track & field in the hopes of qualifying for the upcoming Olympics. I have always loved teaching and coaching and I want to give back some of what I've learned over the years. Before my first year of high school, I received a concussion and struggled to focus as I had to re-learn a lot of basic math. I understand what it's like to struggle and what it takes to improve! I tutored for four years during my time at University. I mostly helped with math courses as well as English and sciences.
As someone who has been tutored as well as done tutoring myself, my approach is to be as prepared as possible when we first meet. Often times tutors fail their students when they have to learn as they going along with the student. Additionally, I focus on learning as a whole, instead of just focusing on each individual problem I think it's important to focus on connecting the dots and understanding why the solution is what it is instead of just getting an answer.
