Personal Description:

A former educator, I possess the training and teaching experience to support students' learning needs. I am patient and do whatever it takes to help them succeed. I am certified in Elementary Education K-6, ESL K-12, and Family and Consumer Sciences 6-12. As an educator, I believe education is about training one to think critically and creatively.

Tutoring Experience:

I worked as a public educator for six years. During that time, I was a fifth-grade teacher's assistant. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on elementary education, and have a bachelor's degree in textile and apparel management as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I think teaching isn't only about providing the right answers but getting students to ask the right questions. Being a reflective learner helps a student realize their mistakes are part of their journey to a solution. To build a student's confidence, I put subjects in a real-world context to make them more relatable and make connections between personal interests and the subject matter.
