Personal Description:

Hello,

My name is Momen , I am a currently a chemical engineering student working towards my degree. I have completed 3 years of my degree and I am set to graduate in 2022. I enjoyed math in both school and university and have worked hard to establish a strong foundational knowledge in the main core subjects of mathematics this includes the calculus series, linear algebra and differential equations.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored three students at my university for subjects such as Calculus 2, 3 , linear algebra and differential equations and have received great feedback from students and boosted my tutees letter grades by at least 1 grade than their previous grades. I was at the top of my math classes in both high school and college and was nominated for a math competition in high school where I received 2nd place. I am frequently seen as the person in class to come to for help and I thoroughly enjoyed being in that position because I get to have a beneficial impact on peoples education and elevate their understanding of tricky math concepts.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is linear and straight forward. When it comes to mathematics practice is key, I ask each of my tutees to attend my sessions with tricky math problems they are stuck on or problems they would like to go over. I would then briefly explain the subject matter and allow time for the students to solve it on their own when the fundamental subject matter has been explained. If the question is still too tricky I will then approach it with them together and fill the gaps in knowledge as we go through the problems together. In my experience tutoring is a powerful tool because it allows educators to find gaps in knowledge of students and elevate these gaps allowing students to escape the feeling of being stuck and overwhelmed. This consistently boosts confidence in the subject matter and grades in school or university.
