Personal Description:

My name is Mohamed . I am a 19 year old university student who attends Western University. I am a constant learner as it is my favorite thing to do. Knowledge has been an essential part of my every day life so I find great honor in being able to give this knowledge to others. I play a lot of sports and dabble in a little bit of everything in life so I like to think I am easy to get along with.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a tutor my whole life. I believe teaching is a skill that can't just be done by anyone. Everyone can know a piece of information but being able to explain and have a piece of information understood by others is a challenge. I tutored through my high school years and am currently a tutor in my university. I tutor 2nd year calculus while being a 2nd year student so I like to think I am able to process information fairly quick which allows me to then offload it on students as soon as they need. I have been put in teaching positions multiple times in my schooling year due to my high SAT scores in math and my experience taking AP classes. I also have a younger brother who I teach math every now and then which keeps my mind fresh to all realms of the subject.

Tutoring Approach:

I have tutored a wide range of ages (6-19) which has allowed me to understand the patience needed to teach. My current methods of teaching involve going through lessons with my students and solving examples every time there is a new concept introduced. I love to let my students struggle with their work as I believe this forces the brain to exert itself to then later be better when solving the next problem.
