I am an international student at the University of Alberta, on Campus Saint-Jean, a francophone campus.
My main qualities are my bilingualism, my communication skills and the ability of keeping my cool in any kind of situation.
I like interacting with people and helping them while having fun because I believe that our brain learns better when we are having fun.
I volunteered for all of my tutoring experiences with children from elementary school (in small groups of 3 or 4) and middle school with only one student.
My method is mostly changing courses and exercises to adapt them in a realistic of amusing way in order to make them more appealing. I explain the basics and give some tips, then I let the students discover how to solve problems. I don't intervene too much because I think that the students often tend to rely too much on their tutors and sometimes, want to let them do all the work.
If possible, I make cross words because it stimulates the brain and help to memorize and understand better.
The whole point is to help people reach goals that they have to write down while having fun.
