Personal Description:

I have a strong passion for teaching and most especially love working with the younger students. I love music, baking and looking for various ways to teach students the Canadian curriculum. I currently possess a degree in Teaching and Certified with the Ontario College of Teachers as well as hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education. The Early Years I strongly believe is that foundation to learning. Everything a child learns at this age carries with them later on. I believe that a Good Start to Education reflects success later on. In my lessons, I try to make them engaging, fun and relevant to the student. Building a rapport with a student I believe is a good way to begin building that connection to learning.

Tutoring Experience:

Currently, I have experience working in a Kindergarten classroom for 6 years with experience as an Early Childhood Education since 2008 both in a school and Daycare setting. At the current moment, I am working in the capacity of a classroom teacher with students in Senior Kindergarten but have experience working with different students of various cultures and SES.

Tutoring Approach:

When it comes to tutoring, I firmly believe that centering the learning around the Child's interest and making it fun and engaging to them is what truly helps them to succeed. Tutoring sessions help to build on what a child has already learn with the use of their interests to help me plan fun and engaging lessons and activities provided to them. The parents, the teacher, and childs Tutor all make up a team to help a child build learned skills at their level of learning. Through communication and practice together with the Teacher, Tutor, and Parent, the child's level of success improves. The learning does not just stop in a educational environment or with an educator but rather is implemented and applied to real life situations as simple as a Grocery store or car ride.
