This is how 28 referees rated Michael:
I am a psychology tutor who enjoys working with all age groups, especially students who might be feeling stressed out by the impersonal nature of modern technology and traditional classroom environments. I excel at helping students organize their learning strategies around course curriculum and long-term assignments, making for a more efficient study experience. I can also teach critical thinking skills and relate the material to real-life applications wherever possible.
I have both bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees in Music, the former from Bard College and the latter from New York University. I believe that music can be a great educational tool to help people master academic subjects such as psychology.
I strive to help students help themselves by engaging each learner in the style best suited for them. Learning is a creative experience, and fostering a passion for learning in one student inspires that individual to do the same for other students.
