Personal Description:

I am a patient tutor who tries to explain concepts from a different angle than classroom instructors. I am a math tutor who is open to tutoring students of all ages. Whether we are working on basic multiplication or division or tackling complex algebraic expressions, I will approach each student with patience and understanding.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in biology. I am currently in the process of completing my master's degree in environmental science and policy. My academic background is in biology and ecology, but I have plenty of experience tutoring algebra. I have always enjoyed helping my colleagues and peers with math material.

Tutoring Approach:

I know that every student has a unique way of learning and understanding. So, I find it useful to understand each student's preferred ways to communicate. Next, I learn more about the student's learning and study habits and strengths and weaknesses and then adapt my teaching style to meet their specific needs.
