Personal Description:
Bonjour! Allô! My name is Melissa. I am a full-time teacher and a part-time tutor.
Born and raised an hour north of Toronto is where I grew up with English at home and French at school. I was expected to learn French on a first language basis through francophone schools. Because of my education and community I have a strong sense of franco-ontarian culture.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education bilingually. More than half of my courses were done with French as the language of instruction and the rest was in English. I studied psychology, sociology, philosophy, education, and French. During the summer of 2020 I became a French as a Second Language Specialist for the Ontario College of Teachers.
Currently I teach for the TDSB but I have been working in schools for the last 8 years for the public, catholic, Jewish, and private sectors. I have occupied different roles that supported and promoted student growth and success.
I have taught:
- French Immersion for G7 and G8 (French, History, Math, Science, Art, etc.)
- Extended French G4, G5, G6, and G7 (French, Math, Geography, History, English, Art, Drama, Dance, Health)
- Core French G6, G7, G8, and G9

She makes it fun and my daughter really looks forward to her Monday tutoring with Melissa. Melissa is bi-lingual which is invaluable for our daughter at French school in Toronto. She is reliable, fun and very bright

Thanks, Melissa!
She is always prepared with knowledge and many resources and tools she can use to help the student receive optimal tutoring every time.
She is cheerful and always is willing to help in any way. I would definitely give her a thumbs up. We have only used her a few times and I would highly recommend her.
