Personal Description:

I have the ability to help students with a number of math skills. I love to see students learn and expand their knowledge. I have worked as a math tutor in a number of K-12 contexts, and I have a particular affinity for algebra, pre-calculus, and SAT prep. I am able to provide personalized instruction that helps students reach for their goals in an environment that is oriented around their needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I have an Honors bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Also, I am working toward a graduate degree in Speech Pathology. I have worked as a Java developer for a range of clients for the past two years.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach as a math tutor is to make sure that students understand all of the steps that are necessary to solve a problem. I have found that this leads to a deeper understanding than simply lecturing or focusing only on the correct final answer.
