Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Megan and I am an experienced tutor with a background in English. I was born and raised in Toronto and have taught in Ontario, so I am familiar with the Ontario curriculum. I believe learning through tutoring can be a great experience for both the tutee and tutor because I take the time to get to know my students and understand their needs. This way, learning can be flexible and rewarding. At this time, all tutoring sessions will be offered online.

Tutoring Experience:

I have both a BA and MA in English. I have worked as a teacher for over 3 years and as a tutor in both a tutoring centre setting and as a private tutor for over six years.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching methodology is to meet students where they are academically and help them ascend to their greatest potential. I believe all students have the ability to communicate effectively, they simply need customized and caring support from a tutor. I view tutoring like coaching, with the goal of equipping students to become independent learners.
