Hi, my name is Maylorie. A believer in student success and motivation, I can assist you as an economics tutor. I also believe in building a rapport with each student, which can take time, but believe progress can be made with any type of learner from session to session.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's in adult and post-secondary education. I am knowledgeable in motivational psychology. Building a connection with others, autonomy, and focusing on competence are effective tools for helping students learn independently.

Tutoring Approach:

Every student can succeed with practice. I tend to start slow in my tutoring sessions and build a student's skills at a challenging, yet not overwhelming, pace. There's no harm in backing up and starting slightly below the level of a student's area of difficulty. Oftentimes, I find a student knows more than they think they do; highlighting this with feedback can help boost confidence.
