I did a BA/ BEd with a major in French and Spanish. I have taught all levels of French for over twelve years. Along with these subjects of have taught English 10 and Social Studies 10. I have an MA in TESOL/Linguistics having taught international students ESL for over 15 years and have taught ESL both in Canada and in three other countries. I am a certified teacher in B.C.
I started a Reading Club for my international students, introducing helpful strategies for reading comprehension and have done tutorial reading with Elementary and Middle School students.
I have tutored Elementary, Middle and High School students for the last three years and have seen much improvement in their reading and English skills. I have also tutored Middle School students in French, particularly those students who did not have a base in the French language, having transferred from schools with no previous French study. I have taught Elementary (Grade 6) and Middle School (Grade 7) for several years along with ten years of Grade 10-12 High School teaching, Social Studies, English, French, and ESL.
