Information About Madelynn
St. Catharines tutorPersonal Description:
I am a 19-year-old second-year History student at Brock University and a proud Ontario Scholar graduate. Having once struggled with study habits and relied on academic support myself, I understand the value of personalized guidance in learning. This experience inspired my passion for tutoring, which I’ve held for several years. After completing my History degree, I plan to pursue a career in teaching, where I can continue to support and inspire students as they grow academically.
Tutoring Experience:
During my Grade 12 year, I completed a co-op placement in a Family Living class, which gave me valuable insight into the diverse learning styles and abilities of students. This experience helped me better understand how to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs. In addition, I have volunteered as a coach for the past three years, further strengthening my ability to lead, communicate, and create positive learning environments.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is centered on meeting students at their own pace while gently encouraging them to challenge themselves when appropriate. As a student, I often needed one-on-one support to fully understand key concepts, so I know how valuable personalized guidance can be. I'm excited to provide that same level of support to help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
