My dedication lies in creating inclusive and engaging learning environments where students can explore the wonders of science and the complexities of mathematics. I integrate hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and interactive problem-solving activities to make intricate concepts accessible and relevant to students of all levels.
Beyond the classroom, I am committed to supporting and guiding students through their academic journeys, providing personalized tutoring, mentorship, and extracurricular activities to nurture their curiosity and build a strong foundation in science and math.
With a deep understanding of the Ontario curriculum and a focus on individualized learning, my goal is to inspire a passion for scientific inquiry and mathematical reasoning in all my students. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential in the fields of science and mathematics.
Tutoring Experience:
I am a certified Ontario teacher, Certified in intermediate and senior levels in science and math. My bachelor's degree is in Science with a major in Chemistry.
Tutoring Approach:
I approach tutoring in the following ways:
Selecting Real-World Problems: I choose problems that are relevant to the students' lives and academic interests. Real-world problems can engage students and make the learning experience more meaningful.
Facilitate Discussions: As a tutor, facilitate discussions by asking open-ended questions that encourage students to think critically about the problem. Guide them through the problem-solving process without providing direct answers.
Provide Guidance and Resources: Offer support and resources as needed, but avoid giving away solutions. Point students towards relevant materials and encourage them to explore different approaches.
Reflect and Discuss: After the problem-solving activity, facilitate a reflection session where students can discuss what they learned, challenges they faced, and how they overcame them.
Celebrate Success: Acknowledge and celebrate the efforts and achievements of the groups. Recognize their collaborative work and the value of their contributions.
