Personal Description:

I am originally from Columbia and my native language is Spanish. I am a highly skilled and experienced Spanish tutor and I enjoy helping my students broaden their understanding of the language. I like to promote student engagement by making the learning process fun with resources such as music, flash cards, and movies or videos.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my graduate degrees in dentistry and public health. I practiced dentistry for twenty-five years and also served as a missionary.

I have been teaching and tutoring Spanish for the past thirteen years. I've additionally developed a Spanish curriculum for elementary school students.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to employ visual, kinesthetic, and auditory instructional methods based on the needs of the students I'm helping. I like to leverage the interests of the student when developing lesson plans so that they remain engaged with the material and are able to move efficiently towards their language learning goals.
