Personal Description:

I am an elementary teacher with a specific interest in helping children to learn to read with evidence-based methods that align with the science of reading.

Tutoring Experience:

I have my Bachelor of Education degree and am currently obtaining a Masters degree in Curriculum Studies. I have been a classroom teacher since 2009 and have gained a wealth of experience in this time.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring begins with assessment of current level of skill in areas such as phonemic awareness, decoding, and reading comprehension. We then proceed with systematic, explicit teaching in areas of need.
