Personal Description:

I strive to identify my student's needs and adjust my teaching methods to align with those needs. I allow my students to reach conclusions on their own, serving primarily as a guide who can answer questions and help. I can help my students build solid language skills, whether they could benefit from practicing conversational skills or learn gender classifications.

Tutoring Experience:

With more than 40 years of teaching experience under my belt, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels in Portuguese, English, and ESL. I have a bachelor's in English and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style centers the student in every aspect of our study sessions. I work to keep a safe environment that can allow my students the freedom to explore, question, and grow. From the start, I try to gauge my student's grasp of the material, whether I am serving as a Portuguese tutor or offering support elsewhere.
