Personal Description:

I’m a frequent traveller to tropical countries as well as countries offering historical and architectural depth. Learning about different cultures and lifestyles is of essence and peaks my interest as well as my curiosity during my travels.
Locally, I enjoy attending cultural events; musicals. opera, ballets, theatre and concerts.
My interests vary from freelance writing and translation, reading, educational research, attending professional development conferences to gift bask creations and Mediterranean cuisine.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught ESL in both the private and public sector for over 15 years. My B. Ed. Tesl has given me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults in vary group sizes and settings. My education is further complimented by my cooperative teaching experience which was an extension of my being with respect to modeling the cognitive and affective aspects of teaching and professionalism.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching/tutoring is based on the 3 C’s - communicative, collaborative and cooperative.
The academic world has allowed me to acquire the theoretical and practical tools to design and adapt lessons based on the levels and needs of the students. Furthermore, plan and organize lesson plans incorporating visual aids and ICT to facilitate a communicative learning environment. Finally, due to technological advancements, virtual teaching platforms have been incorporated in my teaching repertoire.
