Personal Description:

For several years, I have been a math tutor for high school and college students, but can help students of any age. Understanding everyone has their own learning style, I can apply different methods, whether explaining the concept step by step or using pictures and images to demonstrate the problem. I want to help students thrive in their math class, whether they love the subject or not. I believe confidence is extremely important in learning and taking exams.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently an undergrad working on a business degree at a community college, where I have two years of tutoring experience. Students looking for help learning math can count on me to fill skill gaps in pre-algebra, algebra, college algebra, middle school and high school math, and calculus. I also tutor ACCUPLACER Arithmetic and ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra as well.

Tutoring Approach:

Finding an individual student's learning habits provides me with the knowledge needed to show them how to solve math problems. Understanding their thought processes is important as well. It lets me find the right teaching method and improve the tutoring experience to help each student become an independent learner.
