Personal Description:

I enjoy helping others learn as a way of deepening my own knowledge of the material as well as helping others. When working as a math tutor, I am able to customize my instruction to help students learn in ways that fit who they are as a person. I can help students from a variety of ages and backgrounds. During 1-on-1 sessions, students are able to investigate the material that is most important to them without having to worry about the needs of other learners.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I have tutored in formal and informal settings for years.

Tutoring Approach:

My philosophy as a math tutor is based on letting the student guide the instruction. I ask questions to learn about a student's areas of weakness. This ensures that we will focus on the most important material in our time together.
