Personal Description:

I am an art tutor with a background in the performing arts, and believe in the values of a strong education. My commitment to helping people develop much needed skills makes me an effective tutor. Knowing what it's like to have a teacher who doesn't care or understand, I strive to help students master difficult skills and gain confidence.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. My master's degree is in classical acting for the professional theater. I do everything I can to help a student learn on a one-on-one basis and focus on their unique strengths, while taking the time to help them learn challenging skills.

Tutoring Approach:

A lecture is like a conversation with the student, in which I gauge their understanding of the material and encourage questions. Once there's an open line of communication, I help the student feel confident and open and encourage independent learning skills through practice. I find encouragement and praise help with motivation, rather than focusing solely on mistakes.
