Personal Description:
I earned my Ph.D. in Materials Science (Applied Physics Area) from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2019. Before achieving this, I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014 with a Master's in Physics.
I love to watch soccer and meet new friends. I have lived in Africa, Europe, and Asia prior to moving to Canada and have made amazing friends from all walks of life and cultures.
Tutoring Experience:
I spent a year as a tutor teaching senior high school students teaching Mathematics and Physics. I also lectured Physics to year 1 to 4 students of Federal University Lokoja, Nigeria teaching topics raging from electromagnetism, Waves and Optics, Mechanics, Solid-State Physics, Vectors and Tensors, to Special Relativity.
I am available to tutor both high school and university students in Physics and Mathematics topics. If you are a high school student taking either AP Physics or AP Maths, I can help you understand concepts that are required perform excellently well in the course. I can also help you study for the end-of-year exam.
Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring style starts from assessing the needs of the students -- trying to understand their goals and any challenges they face. I then tailor my teaching approach to meet the demands of the student.
I engage my students so as to get a feel for whether they understand the concepts after each explanation. I love to entertain questions and flexibility is key to meeting the unique needs of each student.
Overall, I love to build long lasting relationships with students. We end up becoming cool friends.
