Information About Kelsey
This is how 2 referees rated Kelsey:
I have 15 years of experience working with high school, undergraduate and graduate students in highly selective programs around the world. Prior to launching my own educational consulting firm, I worked in the Student Achievement Division of Ontario's Ministry of Education, where I developed an in-depth understanding of effective instructional practices and high-impact pedagogy.
Accepted to top universities and graduate schools around the world and educated in rigorous programs internationally, my academic background is characterized by exceptional success in varied learning environments and dozens of scholarships for outstanding academic achievement.
I love traveling (40+ countries to date, always keeping an eye out for my next adventure!), hiking (Austrian alps have been my favourite so far) and dogs (mildly obsessed with my White Shepherd, Rousseau).
I am a passionate, reflective practitioner whose approach to learning and teaching is underpinned by a growth mindset. My clients are encouraged to actively participate in constructing their own learning, and I emphasize the importance of thinking about one’s own thinking.
In addition to improving the academic achievement of high school and university students, I enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests including but not limited to the SSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE. I also provide university admissions support, and know that the most competitive application is a compelling and authentic reflection of each candidate's unique goals and experiences. My students submit their applications with full confidence, and have earned offers to top schools in Canada and around the world.
I use a skills-based approach to learning that improves performance in the short term, while providing long-term value and sustainable benefits by building the core skills and confidence of each student. I work closely with parents to ensure their confidence in raising a critical thinker and self-motivated, lifelong learner (please see my free training here: https://joinnow.live/s/1F5P9e).
