Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Kathy, I'm a tutor in the Richmond Hill area, and I am currently a senior high school student in the IB diploma programme at Bayview Secondary School. I will be going to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in the fall for a BFA in Dramatic Writing. Tutoring people in subjects of study that I know well and am passionate about is one of my favourite pastimes.
Tutoring Experience:
From July to August 2018, I worked a paid position as an Arts & Crafts teacher at Camp Green Acres in Markham, Ontario.
Tutoring Approach:
I discuss with the student what their academic and professional goals are, what methods of study work best with them, and set in place a list of long-term goals to work towards by a timely schedule. I believe in deadlines and homework, and strive to equip students with the skills that they need to be able to become strong scholars in their subjects so that they are self-reliant at the end of the program.
