Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Kat and I'm a great English tutor because I love to teach. I subscribe to Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, so I present lessons in many different styles to accommodate how different students like to learn. Igniting a lifelong passion for learning is every educator's ultimate goal, and I find that the 1-on-1 environment associated with tutoring makes it easier to achieve.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been in the field of education for over 20 years, including stints as a kindergarten teacher and a fifth-grade instructor. I have also studied Liberal Studies, Human Development, and Elementary Education in formal settings and am prepared to use what I've learned to benefit my students.

Tutoring Approach:

Every child is capable of learning, but the responsibility of finding how they'll learn best falls on the tutor. I use special assessments to help me determine how to structure customized lessons for each pupil.
