Personal Description:

As a student at the University of Waterloo studying BSc Psychology, I have to maintain and further my knowledge in a timely manner. I have learned study techniques which have allowed me to strive and continue to improve within the stressful demanding environment. Outside of my time as a student, I enjoy taking walks, listening to music, and engaging with my creative side with art. I also take time to learn more effective and efficient organization and learning techniques to enhance my understanding as a student myself.

Tutoring Experience:

I have not tutored or taught professionally before. I have helped fellow peers and other acquaintances regarding school work and have knowledge on teaching methods as well as study techniques. Some of which stem from psychology and verified learning methods.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to provide students with grade 12 level or below knowledge in my areas of teaching. I am also able to provide useful insight when it comes to learning and studying techniques that will be useful in further education. I will not only teach the subject but provide a deeper understanding along with tricks to help memorize and retain knowledge.
Regarding Science, Math, Chemistry and Biology, I will first get an understanding of where you stand on the subject and create a lesson plan oriented around you. While teaching I will also integrate learning and organization techniques to not just have the information memorized but also maintained.
Regarding Art, I will gather the skill level and teach varied techniques ranging from simple form and shading, to colour theory and techniques revolving around watercolour and coloured pencil.
