My conscience demanded that I find a job doing something meaningful. I agree with Aristotle's assertion that thinking for yourself is essential to leading a happy life. I also concur with Socrates' belief that inquiry is essential to thinking for yourself. As such, I have decided to pursue the path of the chemistry tutor, helping students explore the physical sciences and themselves with my guidance. I love people and conversations, and exchanging ideas is one of life's greatest pleasures.
I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Philosophy, an experience that has changed my entire worldview. Indeed, I credit my education with inspiring me to help students.
I ask a lot of questions when I'm tutoring, to the point that my students end up talking more than I do. I always provide the tools they need to move forward, but their learning is primarily a journey of self-discovery.
