Personal Description:

I am primarily a social science tutor for high school and college students. I also tutor students in related subjects such as sociology and I offer test prep tutoring for standardized exams such as the ACT. I truly believe every student has the potential to reach their academic goals with appropriate academic support and guidance.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in sociology with minors in English and philosophy. I've worked with nonprofits in South Africa that evaluated government programs and civil society for social innovation and best practices. I tutored throughout high school and my undergraduate studies, and this is where I developed my love for teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I recognize that not all students learn in the same way or work at the same pace. It's important that instructors take the time to get to know how a student learns and what they're struggling with so that instructional time can be tailored to their specific needs.
