Personal Description:

I think explaining chemistry subjects as they relate to real-world problems will allow students to relate to complex concepts. I am available as a chemistry tutor to work with high school and college students. I can tutor high school students taking AP Chemistry or general chemistry and college students taking organic, analytical, or physical chemistry.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Sociology. I went on to receive a Master of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Analytical Chemistry. I have been teaching undergraduate General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry sections at a local community college since graduating.

Tutoring Approach:

As a chemistry tutor, my responsibility is to challenge, support, and motivate my students. I have them confront any misconceptions they may hold about chemistry and I make sure they thoroughly understand the fundamentals necessary to move on to more complex topics. I believe a good understanding of chemistry will drive their curiosity to learn more.
