Personal Description:

Hello!

Life has given me fantastic opportunities to learn and refine my skills and expertise working in business development, healthcare, seniors services and community development. The common thread across my many professional roles is education and public speaking. A lifelong learner, I completed my thesis research relating to organizational change and market relevance in Fall 2019 and achieved my Master of Arts in Leadership degree at Royal Roads University.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 20 years' experience working with English learners from Kindergarten to post-secondary levels. I have taught in academic classroom settings as well as serve as a one-on-one private tutor. I also work with professionals in developing and refining their communication skills pertinent to their growth and development within an industry.

Tutoring Approach:

I work with learners in developing and refining their communication skills pertinent to their growth and development in academia and/or within an industry. I help learners maximize their potential, working with each learner to unveil their strengths in order to further build on them. My role is that of a coach and mentor, providing feedback and feedforward to support the learner in their learning journey. Just as I expect learners to have high expectations of me, I too have high expectations of my learners. With that said, we will work hard together but expect to learn in a fun, relaxed environment.
