Personal Description:

Patient and skilled mathematics teacher. I am able to determine where each individual student is at and work with each students so that they become confident math students. Every student who I have tutored has successfully gone onto programs of their choice in university or college.

Tutoring Experience:

MEd Mathematics, Ontario College of Teachers certified at Senior/Intermediate/Junior/ and Primary levels. 100% final mark in Senior Math. Department Head of Mathematics, 20+ years teaching experience. 5 years virtual tutoring. Markham Ontario area, but last years students ranged from Windsor to Ottawa. Specialist in Calculus, and have taught all secondary level courses multiple times. Currently have students ranging from Grade 5 to Grade 12 Calculus.

Tutoring Approach:

Classes are set up via zoom in conjunction with Smartboard, Desmos, and 3D Geometry software. My approach to tutoring is to work with students on their current course material with an emphasis on prerequisite skills consolidation and mastery learning. I work with each student to build their confidence level in math and to have them understand how and why math concepts work. Based on this increased confidence, students are shown demonstrated methods to achieve excellent results. Students last year gained entrance into University of Dublin Medical School, Queen's Commerce, Ivey School of Business, McMaster University Health Sciences, Ryerson Nursing, Rotman School of Business (U of T), and many more prestigious programs.
