Personal Description:
I am a soon to be High School graduate and honors student. I am certifiably bilingual in both English and French. I have a passion for English literature and linguistics. I have taken on leaderships roles within my school community and work well collaboratively with other students. I am excited to help other students learn and develop a better understanding of the English language, it's history, essay writing, and notable literature!
Tutoring Experience:
I was a part of a school run program to teach reading to younger students. I have regularly tutored my two younger siblings for years. I make an effort to aid students within my own classes and younger grades through student organized study groups. I am also a part of a student leadership program where I am responsible for a group of ninth grade students and their academic success.
Tutoring Approach:
I want to help students achieve their academic goals through developing a greater understanding of the subject matter opposed to memorization tactics. I hope to create a fun relaxed tutoring environment where students can bring a pencil and paper, take notes, listen, and converse about the subject matter as well as ask their questions. I will go over reading material, essay as well as any other writing format, grammar and critical thinking skills. I will want to look over any homework they may have and/or not understand and help them achieve a higher level of academic success. I want to help students reach a level of understanding where they can begin to really enjoy the subject and be proud of themselves.
