My name is Jennifer. I am a third year communications student going into journalism. I write a monthly column for my local paper, write regularly on a blog and work as a freelance writer. English and Social Studies were my favourite subjects in high school, and having graduated in 2014, I am still quite familiar with the curriculum and resources used by teachers in the classroom.
I was a peer tutor in my first year of University, and taught English briefly in my time abroad in Nicaragua.
I hope to instill confidence in my students, by guiding them toward their potential. Tutoring is a give and take experience, so I hope for my students to be prepared with questions. I feel confident I can connect and relate to students, as I was where they are not too long ago.
