Personal Description:

My experience as a chemistry tutor has taught me that each student learns in their own way. I realize that many students have trouble in school because their learning style does not fit the current teaching methods. I think it's worth my effort to discover and encourage students to excel by presenting information in a way that clicks with them personally.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology as a Pre-Med student. I went on to earn my master's degree in Biotechnology. I have many years of experience tutoring students from a variety of educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am available as a chemistry tutor to work with students in high school and college.

Tutoring Approach:

When I first start tutoring a new student, I like to triage their chemistry learning needs. If there's an issue that must be dealt with immediately, that will be the initial focus of our lessons. Then I work with the student on setting goals and a study plan. Finally, we choose the study materials and techniques that will be most effective for that student.
