Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Hyerin and I am excited about working as a biology tutor. I'm currently applying to medical school, so I'm actively studying the relationship between biological concepts and the field of medicine. As such, I can relate abstract concepts to their real-world use cases. I choose to tutor because I appreciate everything education has given me and wish to share what I've learned as I made my way through school.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated with an MA in Bioethics. I also served as a peer tutor as a college student, tutoring others in subjects such as human anatomy, human physiology, and several economics courses.

Tutoring Approach:

Admitting when you don't know something isn't a sign of weakness but an acknowledgment that you always have more to learn. I have no problem saying "I don't know," and I encourage my students to speak up whenever they need help. Engaging in a dialogue is much more effective than lecturing.
