Personal Description:
Hello! I am a recent University of Toronto graduate with a Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies. I am an early career professional with interest in teaching, writing and research, who can work in freelance, contractual and permanent capacities.
Tutoring Experience:
While in university, where I earned my Bachelor and Master's degrees in History, I have provided multiple years of journal and book review editing for fellow postgraduates and undergraduate mentorships for first year student. I was able to provide group based and individualised support for both, with particular priorities taken towards providing constructive feedback.
Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I strongly believe in personalised, conversational approach to education that emphasises establishing strong connection between the student and their learning material, and the tutor and the student. I believe that it is essential for me to be interactive and collaborative with students I tutor, which would help me to understand the students' needs and wants, and work towards a clear goal.
