Tutoring Approach:

As a mentor, my goal is to instill in my students a deep understanding and trust in their ability to answer exam questions and solve new and unfamiliar problems. My theory is founded on the premise that learning occurs in an atmosphere of mutual respect in which students are encouraged to think for themselves and make new connections. One-to-one personal tuition, in my experience, has a distinct benefit for students because of its ability to address the students' personal learning obstacles in a way that lays the groundwork for a deep and enduring understanding of the subject.
